Hey Battle Fam! Welcome to my heart. My name is A.J. Battle, and this space is where I share my deepest thoughts, feelings, and reflections—from what I’ve been through in the past to where God has brought me today. There are moments when I still look back at my pain, my trauma, and the mindset I once had. From the darkness of being incarcerated to carrying the weight of being responsible for a life taken, I’ve seen rock bottom. But I’ve also seen God’s grace lift me higher than I ever thought I could stand again. Today, I give Him all the glory for my transformation and for allowing one of my biggest dreams to come to life—giving back to those who might be silently suffering like I once was. My heart now is to pour into others, to be a light in dark places, and to remind people that healing is possible. This is my safe space to open up and be real, and I pray that in some way, shape, or form, my story blesses you right where you are.

The Moment That Changed Everything

Back in 2019, right after my accident, I was in Fulton County when a pastor, someone who’s still in my life today, gave me something that changed everything for me.

She used to go into jails and prisons to preach God’s word. At the time, I told her I didn’t even know how to pray or where to begin. She handed me this prayer along with a Bible and told me, “Read this every single day.” And I did. I read it so much that I almost had it memorized.

That was the start of me getting the devil off my back. She told me to use it as a weapon against the enemy because there is nothing more powerful than the blood of Jesus.

That’s when I truly learned what it meant to plead the blood of Jesus—not just over your life, but over your prayers too.

A Message to You
